About Us
Nightingale International Secondary School has no longer remained an unknown institute amidst the populace at large. Ever since her foundation was laid over two and a half decade ago, a great deal of endeavours have been made for making her stand out with unique academic environment and proven quality in education. Despite passing through various bleak moments, Nightingale International Secondary School has leapt to her feet. Remarkable achievements have been made by this institution in a relatively short span of time.
As far as the academic sector is concerned, this school has been successful in making all the students pass with Distinction and First Division. In the S.L.C.–2061 B.S., students from this school secured the position of 2nd and 3rd Board Toppers among girls and 6th and 7th position among all. For this achievement in the academic field, Nightingale was adorned with S.L.C. EXCELLENCE AWARD by Everest Foundation Nepal. A student from this school succeeded in achieving the position of 1st Board Topper in the subsequent year -2062 B. S. In 2068 B.S. Nightingale was honoured with the Education Award-2068 by Aajako Awaj Media.In the subsequent year, Nightingale was awarded the Excellence Award-2069 for outstanding results in SLC.

Similarly the school has achieved remarkable success in other activities like debate, speech, drawing and many other competitions. This school has already achieved outstanding achievement in various dance competitions. We have bagged Aishwarya Shield in dance three times and numerous National and International awards. We have been able to garner an unprecedented success at the National Level Spelling Contest conducted by Godavari Alumni Association by winning Gold Medal three times and Silver Medal two times in a row. We participated in the nation-wide spelling contest, and made our presence felt by securing the 1st and 2nd position in the finals. In the field of science, which is an important subject of modern education, Nightingale School has made its mark by attaining second position at the National Level Science Exhibition. With the devotion of committed teachers and exceptionally talented students, we have always believed that nothing is impossible. Our happiness knew no bounds when our school stood first leaving behind 7000 contestants from various other countries at the International Art and Craft Competition organised by Pidilite Industries Limited, India. A competitive cultural program was organised by Lalitpur District Education Office in which Nightingale School secured the first position in Folk Dance, Folk Song and Classical Dance at District Level, first position at Regional Level and third position at National Level. These achievements have proved the calibre of Nightingale in the field of extra-curricular activities.
In 2069 B.S., Nightingale made another historic achievement which proved Nightingale to be one of the best schools in Nepal. Nightingale was honoured with a Regional Award from central development region on National Education Day which was presented to the Founder Principal Mr. T. L. Chaudhary by the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Mr. Khil Raj Regmi.
In 2070 B.S., Nightingale made history as it was once again declared the “Best School” from the Central Development Region for the second time in a row. Nightingale was honoured with Secondary School Regional Shield, National Flag and a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000/- by the Government of Nepal on the auspicious occasion of International Literacy Day-2014. On the basis of SLC results-2071, this school was also ranked 2nd among schools all over Nepal. This ranking is based on SLC results and total number of students sitting for SLC exams from the school.
In 2072, we were declared the best school in Nepal and honoured with the most coveted award in educational sector-The National Education Award which includes national shield, flag, certificates and a cash prize of Rs. 2 lakhs.
We were awarded with International School Award-2019 by the British Council for successfully incorporating international dimension into school. A 10th grader from our school got an opportunity to represent our school in the 8th Young Scientists’ Summit-2019 held in Russia.

Admission is given on the basis of an Entrance Examination which is mandatory, comprehensive, and has to be cleared on the basis of marks secured in the exam. A personal interview closely conducted by the School Management is compulsory for all students accompanied by their parents.

As part of the application approval process, all children have to participate in an age-appropriate entry assessment for basic math, languages (English and Nepali) and social interaction. This is needed to ensure a smooth and fully supported transition to the school and is by no means a “pass/fail” test. Parent interviews will also take place to ensure that their outlook towards education is in alignment with the school’s values and learning goals.

The official admission process begins from 1st Chaitra every year but as the seats are limited, you will be able to reserve seats prior to the date once you are notified of your child’s selection.
Yes, our school offers varied scholarships to students on a need-cum-merit basis.
Scholarships are provided on the basis of merit as well as criteria set by NEB. Student candidates are required to appear in scholarship exams held by the school for which the school admission desk provides you with the dates and time of exam. Selection is transparent and fair and thus, it is mandatory to pass out the scholarship exams.

BUS SERVICE
We have 16 school buses and 6 school vans equipped with latest GPS systems which makes live location tracking of bus possible. The buses can be tracked by parents/guardians as well through the school app.
FIRST AID CENTRE
The school has well-equipped health unit managed by a doctor and a nurse. While minor first aid is administered by the unit, any emergency is referred to a nearby hospital.
SWIMMING POOL (FOR KIDS)
There are many mental and physical advantages when children are swimming in the water. Children find swimming to be more enjoyable than land based exercises. They have fun and exercise simultaneously.
