Machhapuchchhre School was established by a visionary personality Dr. Binod Prasad Yadav took over the school in October 2015 and explored the possibility of initiating world class education in the country. Dr. Yadav formed a strong team of capable people to run the school. The school guarantees the fulfillment of the requirements of 21st century education.
At present the school runs a program from Grade one through ten within the framework of Nepal Government’s National curriculum. The school is an independent entity aiming to be a socially responsible and academically excellent institution.
Why Machhapuchchhre School
Nepal lacks good schools. Parents are struggling to find safe, dignified and respectful learning environment in schools. The country has very limited number of good schools and the demand is unlimited. This has made parents send their children abroad at a very young age. The separation from the family can have repercussions on children’s social and emotional well being. Machhapuchchhre School commits to educate children differently. The School values children’s social life and creates an environment to make them responsible citizens. The purpose of the School is to provide high quality education at affordable fees.

Machhapuchchhre School is a socially responsible institution. The school provides scholarships to its children who perform better in academics and cannot afford the school fees. About twenty percent of our students get the scholarship. The Scholarship Committee verifies all applications and submits its recommendations to the School Management Committee for approval.
Machhapuchchhre School follows the Government of Nepal’s academic calendar for student enrollment and instruction. Each classroom comprises of thirty students. The new academic session begins from mid-April every year.

- The prospective parents are invited to a brief orientation on the school’s approach to education.

- The admission team assess the students’ knowledge, understanding and skills.

Admission is given on the basis of an Entrance Examination which is mandatory, comprehensive, and has to be cleared on the basis of marks secured in the exam. A personal interview closely conducted by the School Management is compulsory for all students accompanied by their parents.

As part of the application approval process, all children have to participate in an age-appropriate entry assessment for basic math, languages (English and Nepali) and social interaction. This is needed to ensure a smooth and fully supported transition to the school and is by no means a “pass/fail” test. Parent interviews will also take place to ensure that their outlook towards education is in alignment with the school’s values and learning goals.
No. The school believes that every child should have a right to apply to KWS, and does not seek any form of monetary reimbursement for the process.

Once the admission committee finalizes the entrance dates, you will receive a call and an email with the details.
The official admission process begins from 1st Chaitra every year but as the seats are limited, you will be able to reserve seats prior to the date once you are notified of your child’s selection.
Yes, our school offers varied scholarships to students on a need-cum-merit basis.
Scholarships are provided on the basis of merit as well as criteria set by NEB. Student candidates are required to appear in scholarship exams held by the school for which the school admission desk provides you with the dates and time of exam. Selection is transparent and fair and thus, it is mandatory to pass out the scholarship exams.
Machhapuchchhre School covers an area of 26500 Square feet for teaching learning activities, 8500 Square feet for extracurricular activities and 13500 Square feet open area for outdoor activities. The School building is child friendly and earthquake resistant.
Machhapuchchhre School prepares children to become life-long learners. The resourceful library houses 7000 plus holdings of age appropriate books and resource materials, staffed by qualified librarians. Parents have access to the library. The School has also set up an E-Library for research purpose.
Fresh and nutritious lunches are served to all students. In addition, afternoon snack is provided to the children for their needs. Meals are prepared under hygienic conditions in our modern kitchen by trained staff under the direction of a professional chef.
Machhapuchchhre School has access to a Smart board with immediate Internet connectivity for learning purposes. Smart board helps students learn better and effectively.
Our computer laboratory has 30 stations with high-speed broadband connection to the internet. Students have unlimited access to the lab for doing course work and personal research. Inappropriate internet sites are blocked. From grade five onwards, the school provides individual email address to students.
The school has three well equipped labs for Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Each Lab allows children to learn actively and engage them in hands on activities.
The school has set up a language lab to enhance language skills. The Lab is equipped with audio-visual materials available for individual work and group activities.
The school provides basic medical services with the well-stocked medicines at the infirmary in the case of sudden sickness on the part of students. They are well attended by a trained nurse. We also provide doctors on demand for medical advice.
The School takes care of the health condition of the student. A well qualified School Nurse provides first aid care to the children and maintains their health log.
