About Us
Gorkha International Public Secondary School was founded in1998 A.D. by a group of Gorkhas (Lahures) and was inaugurated by the vice-chancellor of Kathmandu University, Professor Dr. Suresh Raj Sharma on the 14th of Chaitra 20055 B.S. (28TH OF March 1999 A.D.). The Gurkhas had played a vital role to save their nation with their qualities. The Gurkha soldiers with experiential knowledge while serving aboard, once again encountered the reality of life back at home. It had been another challenge for the Gurkhas and the future of their children. Having felt the need to establish a really good institution, Gorkha International Public Secondary School, had set and instantly put it into action.
The school had a total strength of 300 students with 11 sections from nursery to class 6 in its establishment year. Currently, it serves over 300 students with 11 sections from nursery to class 12. The institution is spread over a lavish area of around 5 bighas of land. 140 teaching and ancillary staff are working in the institution.
