Established in the year 2011 A. D, Aksharaa School is a co-educational institution that manages day school from Grade 1 through 10. The school is operated within 3 academic and administrative blocks accommodated upon the earthquake resistant building standing on the spacious area spread over 23 ROPANIS of land. The school premises along with in-house and classroom interiors of Aksharaa School architect on the stateof-the-art infrastructure equipped with assortment of facilities required to deliver education in the well-equipped physical and technologically sound environment meeting with international standards.

The Admission Process is as follows:

  • The parents of prospective students are given a tour of the School.
  • Parents file an application for admission in person or via the school website.
  • After the evaluation of application, parents are notified of entrance tests and interview dates.
  • While the Admission Team interviews parents, students appear in the written and oral test.
  • Acceptance of a child is based on a child's academic aptitude, socio emotional development and on parents' willingness to be working partner with the school in the educational process.
  • Within 3 days of the written test and interview, the school will inform the parents through phone for confirmation.
  • Within 7 days from the date of confirmation, parents are required to register the child.

Admission is given on the basis of an Entrance Examination which is mandatory, comprehensive, and has to be cleared on the basis of marks secured in the exam. A personal interview closely conducted by the School Management is compulsory for all students accompanied by their parents.

As part of the application approval process, all children have to participate in an age-appropriate entry assessment for basic math, languages (English and Nepali) and social interaction. This is needed to ensure a smooth and fully supported transition to the school and is by no means a “pass/fail” test. Parent interviews will also take place to ensure that their outlook towards education is in alignment with the school’s values and learning goals.

No. The school believes that every child should have a right to apply to KWS, and does not seek any form of monetary reimbursement for the process.

The official admission process begins from 1st Chaitra every year but as the seats are limited, you will be able to reserve seats prior to the date once you are notified of your child’s selection.

Yes, our school offers varied scholarships to students on a need-cum-merit basis.

Scholarships are provided on the basis of merit as well as criteria set by NEB. Student candidates are required to appear in scholarship exams held by the school for which the school admission desk provides you with the dates and time of exam. Selection is transparent and fair and thus, it is mandatory to pass out the scholarship exams.

Appropriate assessment of each task is done to monitor a child skill of manipulation of words, materials, ideas, concepts. Such assessments help to notice whether the child has acquired language, mathematical and social skills or not. This is done on a day-to-day basis through the use of CAS book.

Through the intra and outside classroom activities, students' knowledge level, learning skills, extent of participation, research work, interest, psychomotor skills, etc are observed and recorded using specific criteria. Such observation helps to monitor the overall development of a child

Age appropriate specific assignments are assigned in each chapter. Written assignments, Project works and Research work are used as records on the development of specific skills related to instructional objectives or the attitude expressed or demonstrated by a student towards learning.

At the end of each term, time bound written test is given in each subject. This will help the student to know their writing speed and be familiar with our traditional exam system.
