About Us

The Celebration Co-Ed , A Right Education Centre for Celebrative,Meditative & Creative Study, is a co-educational residential secondary school ( Up to class 12) which is run to meet the 'Body- Mind- Spirit' combination for the achievement of higher possibilities of lives.

 

The Celebration Co-Ed School is located in the capital city, Kathmandu, is the best Science college of Kageshwori Manahara Municpality and internationally awarded two times in the year 2013-2016 and 2017-2020 with Internatinal Award School ( ISA) for introducing international dimensions in teaching and learning strategies. It is a fully residential and non residential English medium school established in March 5, 1994. At present, the number of faculty is 70 and the non - teaching staff is 20 with student number 820 and faculty ratio of almost 30:1.

 

Currently there are 820 students, of which 46% are girls. Students are selected from a wide range of socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds through a very highly competitive Entrance Test. Recently the students are from Eastern part to western part of nation and even from International there are students. About 10% of the total students are on scholarship. The scholarship is provided to the meritorious and the needy ones from the weak social, economic and geographical backgrounds and from all the seventy-seven districts of Nepal.The main entry of the students takes place in grade 1 onwards till grade 8. The grade 8 students go on for Basic Level Examination ( BLE) conducted by Kageshwori Manahara Municipality and these students go on to take the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) at the end of grade 10. After that, students from the school, together with the selective students from other schools, are selected to do Grade 11 & 12 (science program) of the National Education Board (NEB), Nepal.

 

Initially the school was set up as a residential boarding school for girls and boys. At present there are four houses for girls and boys. The school has been demonstrating that it is not only able to achieve excellent results in the SEE Examinations, but also achieve results significantly above national averages in the National Examination of SEE. Last year the average score was 3.64 out of 4 and stood top best schools in nation.The school has, therefore, been awarded the prestigious National Award several times by the Ministry of Education, British Council,  Kageshwori Manahara Municiaplaity and Curriculum Development Centre .This has proved us for one of the best schools in the country. In fact, it has been regularly topped the list of good schools in Nepal.

Admission is given on the basis of an Entrance Examination which is mandatory, comprehensive, and has to be cleared on the basis of marks secured in the exam. A personal interview closely conducted by the School Management is compulsory for all students accompanied by their parents.

As part of the application approval process, all children have to participate in an age-appropriate entry assessment for basic math, languages (English and Nepali) and social interaction. This is needed to ensure a smooth and fully supported transition to the school and is by no means a “pass/fail” test. Parent interviews will also take place to ensure that their outlook towards education is in alignment with the school’s values and learning goals.

The official admission process begins from 1st Chaitra every year but as the seats are limited, you will be able to reserve seats prior to the date once you are notified of your child’s selection.

Yes, our school offers varied scholarships to students on a need-cum-merit basis.

Scholarships are provided on the basis of merit as well as criteria set by NEB. Student candidates are required to appear in scholarship exams held by the school for which the school admission desk provides you with the dates and time of exam. Selection is transparent and fair and thus, it is mandatory to pass out the scholarship exams.
